Glycidyl methacrylate has a double bond and epoxy groups, so it can both have free radical reaction and ionic polymerization, which is widely used in medicine, photographic materials, organic synthesis, polymer synthesis and modification, and many other fields.

It is mainly used in the following areas:

1. Adhesives for thermosetting coatings, fiber treating agents, antistatic agents, vinyl chloride stabilizers, rubber and resin modifiers, ion exchange resins and printing inks;

2. Acrylic and polyester decorative powder coating which is  to improve the compatibility of thermoplastic resin;

3. Industrial protective topcoat, alkyd resin, which helps to improve the heat resistance and impact resistance;

4. Pressure-sensitive adhesive, anaerobic adhesive, non-woven plastic adhesive and other adhesives which helps to improve the adhesive strength and acid resistance;

5. Plastic modification: PVC, PET, rubber, engineering plastics; 6.The synthesis of acrylic emulsion or resin synthesis; PVC coating;

7. Flame-retardant materials, absorbent materials; cross-linked monomer and reactive diluent.
